Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel is one of the best hotels to stay in your visit to the Nyungwe Forest National Park. It is owned by a Rwandan entrepreneur and has been in operation since 2011, the forest is the best place to see chimpanzees in Rwanda. The forest is said to have survived the ice age era straddling along borders with Burundi, the rain forest is one of its kind in the land of a thousand hills overlooking the Lake Kivu, it is home to various primate species some of which have been habituated to contain human presence, and unique plant and trees species.

Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel is situated in the north eastern part of Rwanda’, in Nyamasheke region, the main lodge area is beautiful placed with a high roof to represent the typical Rwandan style, the floor of the reception is furnished with modern comfortable sofas, with dark tiles leading to the main balcony area, the views here are so stunning and on a clear day it is possible to view the back drop of the rolling mountains together with the outstand islands of the Lake Kivu, the bar area is decorated in lovely bottle tips which give it a simple and stunning look. Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel is placed in way that it overlooks the forest expanse at large together with Tea estates, the hotel is arranged in two rows with beautiful 12 cottages, each of which has got a coffee table, so far set and a fire place, the bedrooms are spacious, with a dressing mirror.

The design of the main lodge area has been  inspired by the old Rwanda style of building rounded houses, there is a mixture of furnishings with a modern touch, most of the material used has been gotten from the local communities, the restaurant area serves lovely meals from continental dishes to the local food cuisines for adventurous travelers, the exposure of location of the lodge is  starting point of many activities in the conservation area, it popular for the chimpanzee tracking beginning at the Uwinka Visitor Center, guests are required to wake up very early in the morning to do their activities, following  morning briefing you will be led to the forest by an experienced guide, enroute look out for other primate species like the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, tracking time takes 2-3 hours you require to buy a chimpanzee tracking permit prior to the tin of tracking through your tour operator.

Canopy walk in the Nyungwe National Park, this is one of the few places to see the great apes of the conservation area, the walk is one of a kind in the national park, and the whole of east Africa, the walk can be done up to children of six years old. The long suspended bridge is adventurous to explore.
