Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our company representatives who will brief you and take you for a Kigali City Tour depending on the time you arrive, visit the Rwanda Genocide Memorial for the great historical experience of the 1994 genocide, this led to massive killings of many innocent lives as a result of war, take a tour around the local market, we return to the lodge that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight at
Hotel Des Miles.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Iby’iwacu Community
Moring breakfast, after which you will be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park it takes approximately 2 hours’ drive to arrive at the destination, the dramatic back drop of the mountain is angelic to view, we will arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon check-in at the lodge and have an afternoon visit to the Iby’iwacu community, these are locals living around the edge of the national park, they will showcase their rich Rwandan culture, drumming and dancing to their traditional music. Dinner and staying overnight at
Singita Kwitonda Lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Activity
Early morning breakfast, we will transfer to the national park headquarters for a morning briefing, they will tell you brief you on the gorilla rules and regulations. and about the mountain gorilla families present in the park and how to conduct your self during a gorilla trekking activity, in groups of eight per gorilla family you will be led into forest, expect to meet these gentle mammals for an hour,
Singita Kwitonda Lodge.

Day 4: Departure
Morning breakfast after which we will transfer to the Kigali International Airport for departure.
