Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Ruvubu National Park.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will transfer you to Ruvubu National Park, arriving in the afternoon for Lunch and a guided nature walk through the forest, expect to see popular animal species like buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, we will return to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 2: Transfer to Rusizi National Park and Gishora Drum Sanctuary

We will have a morning breakfast after which transfer to Rusizi National Park, the river in the park is the one from which it gets its name, following a morning breakfast, you will be guided to the national park, arriving in time for a bat cruise, along the banks of the river you will spot numerous species that come along the banks to feed and hippos in the water, returning to have lunch and an afternoon visit to the Gishora Drum Sanctuary, you will have amazing views of the of the traditional performers who dance to their traditional songs and drumming, dinner and staying overnight at the

Day 3:  Transfer to Gitega Museum and Karera Waterfalls

Following a morning breakfast, we will transfer to the Gitega museum for great views of the Burundi historical art facts, the guide on site will explain to you how different staffs have evolved over time, break off for lunch and an afternoon visit to the Karera waterfalls, visit the source of the Nile where it is believed to begin its longest journey to the world, return to Bujumbura for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 4: Departure
